Goodbye 2 Cute Ink

Well this is a sad post for me as it will be my last for 2 Cute Ink. I have decided to step down from the design team as family life is taking up so much time at the moment and I just don't have much time for crafting. I have however created a farewell card so here it is:

I have used the brand new image Black Birdie from 2 Cute Ink for this card. Now I will admit I have cheated a bit as the card has been created in Craft Artist from various digikits. I have then just printed it out, coloured the image with Promarkers and stuck it onto a white card blank. I find making cards this way is great if you need a quick card but also for when you have to post the card.

What a Monkey

Hi everyone

I hope you have all had a good week. I have a little card for you today using Monkey Cupcake from 2 Cute Ink so here it is:

I have coloured this cute little monkey with Promarkers. The backing paper and gold card are from my stash and the ribbon was a freebie from a magazine. I have handtyped the Happy Birthday sentiment and then used peeloffs to add Nennie. This is going to my little boy's Nan who we call Nennie and as he is our little monkey I thought this would be perfect.

Have a great week all.

Rocket Man

Good Morning All,

Well I am back from my little break and was it relaxing erm no not really. The weather was awful and Charlie caught a cold so all in all not great. But you have to be positive so I was amazed by the beauty of the Lake District and we made the most of our time by putting on our raincoats and wellies and braving the weather. Charlie was a little fed up as he had to go in his buggy but we got to take in the lovely fresh air and spend time together as a family. Back to reality now though and I have a little card to share with you so here it is:

I have used Up, Up and Away Rocket for this card you can grab it from the 2 Cute Ink Shop Here. I have coloured the image with Promarkers and added some tiny little stars around the edge. The backing paper is from K&co. I cut it up to make it look a bit more interesting and backed it on silver texture card from my stash. I handtyped the sentiment then added some star embellishments that I found in my drawer.

There is a brand new challenge over on the 2 Cute Ink Blog this week it is a sketch so make sure you check it out you have the chance to win some great images. Oh and there is a new freebie but grab it quick as it will only be around for a limited time.

Simply Lovely

Good Morning All,

As you read this I will be out the door and on my way to the Lake District for a well needed break. I can't wait. But I haven't forgotten my weekly inspiration so here is what I have done this week:

I have used the Best of Friends Owl digital stamp from 2 Cute Ink. I have used Promarkers and Flexmarkers to colour the image. I wanted to keep this card simple so I have only used one K&Co backing paper and some gold mirror card. I added some pearls and a handtyped sentiment to finish.

Don't forget there is a great challenge running over at 2 Cute Ink where you have the chance to win some of the super cute images.

Right I will be back next week hopefully well rested and I may even have found my mojo.

Happy Birthday Jay

Good Morning All,

Is it me or are the weeks flying by at the moment. It feels like only yesterday that I was posting my inspiration card for 2 Cute Ink and yet it was a week ago. I have used one of my favourite images this week he is called Monster Balloon and here is what I have done with him:

I have coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers to match the backing papers which are from a big pad. The pad was from a craft store in Canada it doesn't have a front cover so I have no idea who they are made by. I added some ribbon that came free with a magazine and some Candi. I handtyped the personalised sentiment ready for my Cousin's Birthday next week. I call him little monster so I thought this card would be perfect for him.

Something New and Fun

Good Evening All,

I am very late with this post as I have been picking up my new car today and getting Charlie a new car seat which took longer than I thought it would. Anyway there is a brand new challenge starting over at 2 Cute Ink today it also marks the release of three brand new images

These little guys are so cute and can be found now in the 2 Cute Ink Shop. And do you know what tha'ts not all for a limited time you can grab a freebie from Here. The Freebie is called Candy Corn Bat and this is what he looks like

Right I mentioned a challenge didn't I so here is the theme ............................................. Purple, Orange and Black. Now you must use a 2 Cute Ink image but that is easily done with the great images on offer and don't forget about the Freebie. All the details are over at the 2 Cute Ink Blog and there are also ways to earn extra chances of winning 3 images of your choice. Make sure you check it out.

I have a little card to show you what I have done with Ghostie Sucker which is one of the new releases.

Right I think that is everything so I will leave you for tonight and I will be back tomorrow with my inspiration card.

I got your Bat

Hi All,

I know I know I keep going missing and I only seem to appear on Saturdays. I am having some trouble with my back which makes crafting a little uncomfortable. Plus Charlie is still not sleeping well at night. Add these two things together and my get up and craft has got up and left. I am still doing my DT duties for 2 Cute Ink and I am enjoying the fact that this means I have to make a card a week at least. I am however going to give most of the challenges a miss for the time being as they were just getting on top of me. I will hopefully be able to get back to them soon but you will still get my 2 Cute Ink cards each week. I hope you will all stick by me as your lovely comments really do inspire me to carry on crafting so thank you all for the time you spend writing them for me.

I do have my inspiration card to share with you today and this week I have used Batty Bat which you can grab along with lots of other cute images from 2 Cute Ink. So here is my creation:

I have used my Promarkers and Flexmarkers to colour this image. The papers are all little bits I had left in my scraps drawer and the grey card is from my stash. I have used Spellbinders dies for the circles and the zig zag border. I added a little bit of ribbon that came from Ebay and tied a knot in it. The little pearls are from Colemans Craft Warehouse. Now I know the sentiment is a little odd but I am going to be sending this card to a friend who calls everyone Pumpkin. She is going through a bit of trouble at the moment so this is to tell her I am there for her. So I got your Bat stands for I got your Back. Not sure if that makes sense to anyone else but I know it will to her.

Anyway I will leave you all and be back next week with another card, who knows I may well pop back before then.

All the backing papers are from Dovecraft and I have used silver mirror card for my backing. The ribbon and lace came from Ebay. I have used some Candi and lots of little pink gems from Colemans Craft Warehouse to embellish. The sentiment is handtyped.

Beautiful Bella

Here is another little card for you:

I have used my new Bella Sleeping from Wild Rose Studio. I just love this stamp it is so cute. I have used my Promarkers and Flexmarkers to colour this little cutie and added a bit of glitter to the flowers. The papers are from Papermania I think but I have lost the front cover of the pad so I am not 100% sure. I have added some lace and bows that were from Ebay and a handtyped sentiment. I finished off with some little paper flowers from my stash and added a brad to each for the centre.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Have a Roaring Birthday

Good Morning all,

Sorry I have been missing again. I have had a bit of a rough week as my little monster thinks it is fun to be awake most of the night. I have also been suffering with a really bad back so I haven't really felt like crafting. I managed to venture back into the craft room yesterday and made a couple of cards so here is the first:

I have used Sail Away Lion which is a newish release from 2 Cute Ink. I have coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. The backing papers and border are all from Hunkydory and I have backed everything on gold mirror card. I have kept the embellishment simple by just adding a little starfish that I have had in my stash for years.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Papertake Weekly - Choice of Sketch - Sketch 64

UR GR8

Good Morning all,

It's my turn to inspire again over at 2 Cute Ink and this week I have created two cards. I have used the same layout for each but one is for a Boy and the other for a Girl. So here they are:

I have used two of the fab images from 2 Cute ink. The one for the boys card is called Doggie Backpack and the one for the girls card is called Kitty Backpack. I have coloured both of the images with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I have used K&co backing papers on both cards and backed everything on silver mirror card from my stash. I added a little bit of white ribbon and some silver Candi to both cards. The buttons are all from my stash I think the star buttons were from Create and Craft and the flower buttons came in a kit from years ago. The sentiments were then handtyped in Craft Artist.

Friday 24 August 2012

A Tint of Pink

I have been having a little play with my Promarkers today and I have something to share with you so here it is:

Well what do you think? The image is from Tiddly Inks and I have gone with a sepia colour tone with a hint of Pink. The backing papers are K&co and I have backed everything with gold textured card. I kept the embellishments simple with just a few pearls and a bit of natural ribbon and then added a handtyped sentiment.

The theme this week over at Sassy Studio is to decorate the inside of the card so here is what I have done:

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

A day by the Sea

Good Morning All,

I have been having a little play this morning while Charlie has been sleeping so I will quickly share with you before he wakes up:

The theme over at Crafty Cardmakers is to create a postcard with a beach scene. I knew I had a digikit in Craft Artist that had lots of beach bits in it so I loaded it up and had a play and I created these two postcards. The bottom one is already set out as a postcard so I just added the little image. The top one was bits from the digi kit and some text to build the scene.

After I had printed out my postcards I thought I would use them to make a card. So here is what I have done with them:

The little girl is a Morehead image and I have taken her into Craft Artist and added a frame around her from the beach digikit. The backing papers and little tickets sre K&co and I have used some gold textured card from my stash. I have embellished with a natural ribbon border and some shells that my friend gave me a while back.

I am entering this creation into the following challenges:

Good Evening Everyone,

Where has the night gone? I sat down to colour some images and before I knew it the night has gone. Well I well keep this short as I still have a million and one things to do before bed. Here is todays card:

I know it is another different one for me but I am pleased with this one. I found the sentiment on the internet and the wedding cake is a freebie from Tiddly Inks. I have used coloured pencils to give a little hint of colour to the image. The papers are from Papermania and I have backed everything on silver mirror card. I cut the flourish using my brand new Die-namics die. It only arrived today from My Mums Craft Shop. I have added some ribbon and lace that came from Ebay. I have embellished with pearls, Gems and flowers from Colemans Craft Warehouse. I then used some little die cut leaves to lift the flowers a little.

Good Morning all,

I had planned on sharing a card with you yesterday but it did'nt turn out as I had wanted so I gave up on it. I made this one last night so I will share it with you now

I have used an image from my Docrafts Forever Friends CD. All the backing papers are K&co from a huge pad I got at the weekend from Colemans Craft Warehouse. Everything is backed on Gold mirror card. I handtyped the sentiment. I have used some red and blue twine that I have had for years and embellished with some Candi.

Sentimental Circle

I am back with my second card and this one is also different for me. Here it is:

I have no image ahhhhh. I never make cards like this as it really is out of my comfort zone but hey ho I gave it a go. All the circles are from some sheets of precut shapes I have had for years. I folded the top edge of one and stuck it to the back of the front circle to make a card blank. I have added some peeloffs to the smaller circle to make the sentiment. Now I just couldn't stay away from my Promarkers so I have used Carmine to colour the middle flower and the bow as they both started out white. I love using my Promarkers for other things and this card shows that you don't have to just colour images with them. All the flowers are from Colemans Craft Warehouse. I adore this place it is huge and the best bit is, it is just down the road from me yay. I am never moving house again.

Monochrome Magic

Hi Everyone,

Well what a weekend, We got all the way to the Great British Craft Festival on Saturday only to be sent home as they had stopped letting people in. I was fuming as I had sat in traffic for hours only to drive home again without even setting foot in the door. They had over sold tickets and messed up so badly. I will no way be going to an event organised by Create and Craft and HunkyDory again. Anyway rant over I have a couple of cards to share with you tonight so here is the first:

I have used my new image from Mos Digital Pencil and tried something a little different with it. I have coloured it with watercolour pencils and gone for a monochrome colour theme. This is only the second time I have used watercolour pencils and it is the first time I have tried an all black and white image. I am really pleased with the outcome. The designer papers are from Dovecrafts and the other cards and papers are from my stash. I have added a bit of black glitter and little gems to the fairies breath and some gems to the circle. I used a metal sentiment with a black bow and finished off with candi and some larger gems.

Gardening Nut

Well I am back with my second card for you so here it is:

For this one I have used an image from Bugaboo Stamps and coloured her with my Promarkers and Flexmarkers. The sentiment also comes with the image so I coloured the little heart with a Promarker and mounted it onto a tag made from gold leather effect card. The brown and white papers are from Papermania and the pink paper is from my stash. I have backed everything on gold leather effect card. I have used 3 different ribbons and a natural twine ribbon and layered them together and added a little white bow. I used a die to cut out some leaves and then raided my flower box. Most of the flowers are from my local craft warehouse except the tiny white ones which were from Ebay. I don't usually use lots of flowers on my cards but I thought I would give it a go and I was really pleased with how it turned out. I have then added some pearls and Candi to finish off.

We are off to Donington today for my first ever Craft Festival so I am quite excited. Charlie is coming along so I am sure he will find someone to charm as he loves doing that. If any of you are going and see me walking around with a little smiley boy please say hi. If not then enjoy your weekend.

All the backing papers are from a big pad I got during a trip to Canada. I have used some ribbon to hold the image so that it is popped off the card a bit. A Scrapbook Page

Good Evening All,

Well my lovely Son passed his sickness bug onto me so I was very sick yesterday. Luckily my OH stayed home from work to look after Charlie so I was able to rest and thankfully I feel better today. I don't have a card to share with you today but I can share with you something I have been working on. I have been making scrapbooks for each of Charlie's four sets of Grandparents to document his first year. They are done now and each Grandparent loved them. I haven't shared any of the pages with you guys yet but I will try to show you them as and when I can. Here is one of them:

Charlie loves to do what his Daddy does and he really could'nt believe his luck when he was allowed to touch the computer. I have created the page in Serif Craft Artist using various Digi Kits. I saved the typing that Charlie done as a JPeg image and imported that into Craft Artist and added it to a frame. I also added a few photos of the little Man hard at work.

Tatty in Black

I am back with my last card for the day, I got a little bit side tracked and went and got myself some images from Mos Digital Pencil. I am very excited to start playing with them as they are lovely. I promise I will share with you when the cards are finished. Anyway here is my card.

I have printed out a Digi image from the Docrafts Me to You CD. I haven't done much colouring as I wanted him to be Black and White so I have just coloured his nose with a black Fineliner. The backing papers are from Dovecrafts and the black card is from my stash. I have made a tag by handtyping a sentiment and cutting it out with my Spellbinders. I added a little bow to finish it off. I embellished the card with ribbon and buttons from my stash. I was going to give this to my Boyfriend as it is his Birthday next week but I can't decide. I might make a different one and then choose.
Anyway I hope you enjoy the rest of your Monday what ever you are doing.

Well Done Team GB

Wow, We did quite well in the Olympics don't you think? I watched more of it than I expected to and I have to say I did enjoy it. I am not a huge sports fan so I thought I would grow tired of it quickly but no it was good. With the Olympics in mind I have a little shaped card to share so here it is:

I have made the card base using my Spellbinders die so this is a little card but cute all the same. My favourite event in the Olympics was Diving so I have used this cute image from Sliekje and coloured it with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I haven't used any backing papers on this one just a bit of mirror card. I have added a little bit of ribbon and a matching bow and some tiny pearls. I made the flower myself a while ago with a pUnch I think but I can't remember which one. I folded some green Candi to make the leaves for the flower. I then added my last metal Happy Birthday sentiment so I will now have to visit Ebay for more, who knows what else might fall into my basket.

A Thank You with Forever Friends

Ok Charlie has fallen asleep again and touch would he seems to have been a bit better this morning. I have a few more cards ready to share with you so I will try my best to get through them. Here is the first:

Now I have gone for something a little different for this one, I never make A6 cards as I find them a little small. During a visit to my local craft warehouse, I thought I would give them a try for simple cards and that is what I have used for this card. I have printed the topper and the backing papers from the Docrafts Black and Gold CD. I added the Thank You sentiment before printing it out. I cut the little bears out to give a little depth to the card. The beautiful gold ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons. I have kept this one simple as it is off in the post to Thank my Partners family for my Birthday pressie.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Fairy Friends

Good Morning All,

First I have to apologise for any spelling mistake or odd words that may appear in this post. I have been up nearly all night as Charlie kept being sick or trying to at least. He is teething so I think it is that causing it. I am going to see how he is today and may make a trip to the docs if he is still unwell when he wakes up, Just incase. Well as he is asleep on my bed at the moment I thought it would be the perfect time for me to share my card with you so here it is:

I have used a great image from My Heart Pieces and coloured it with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. The backing papers are from a K&Co paper pad that came free with a magazine years ago. I have backed everything on Kraft card. The gold ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons, I won a big bag of all different ones a while ago and they are so lovely. I will be heading that way when my stocks run low. I have tied a little metal sun charm to a friends sentiment so that it hangs and finished off with two little silver pearls.

I will hopefully be back later with some more cards for you if I can keep my eyes open.

Hugs

What a week

Hi all,

I am finally back. What a week it has been. I had my Mum and Sister up to stay for a few days and we were very busy. My Sister is due a baby in four weeks so we were shopping for the little one. It was lovely having them up here and I really miss them now they are gone but my Mum is coming back up next week to pick up some baby bits so I will see her again then. I have not had much time for crafting and only just got back into the craft room today so I do have a little card to share with you. So here it is:

Now I have gone for something a little different with this one. I have a few HunkyDory kits and I find it difficult to use them. I see the very talented ladies on Create and Craft make some fab creations with them but when I try my mind goes blank. So as the challenge over at Joanna Sheen is try something new I set myself a HunkyDory Challenge. I have used my freebie kit that I got for being a Create and Craft club member so all the papers, The topper, The little flowers and the sentiment are from there. I have only added some lace and gems from my stash. I am not sure if I am totally happy with the outcome but as the day has gone by it has grown on me a little.

Hop Hop Hoppy Birthday

Good Morning all,

Boy am I glad it is the weekend, This week has been so busy and I am shattered. Luckily my Mum and Sister are coming to visit tomorrow for a few days so I will have a bit of help with Charlie. His Daddy helps don't get me wrong but this way I have help while his Daddy is at work. With that in mind I may not be around much next week as I want to spend as much time with them as possible. Well that's enough chatting I have probably bored you all to sleep. I do have a card to share with you today so here it is:

It's my DT card for 2 Cute Ink and I have used the super cute Sweet Froggie that is one of the new releases. Heidi is working really hard to get lots of images into the store so please pop over and check them out. This little cutie does have a bumble bee with him but I took him into Craft Artist and erased him. Gasp I know, What did the poor little bee ever do to me. Well nothing but I wanted my card to be pink and green so the bee had to go. I used my trusted old Promarkers and Flemarkers to colour Froggie in. All the backing papers are from Craft Artist and everything is backed on silver mirror card.I have used the arrow punch in Craft Artist to punch a long arrow in striped paper. I have also handtyped the sentiment in Craft Artist. I have kept the embellishments simple with just a few Candi's.

Well enjoy your weekend and I will be back soon.

Hugs

Happy Birthday Daddy

Hi All,

Well I didn't quite make it back yesterday as I had so many bits to do that it was really late and I was shattered when I had finished. Anyway I promised you another Morehead card so here it is:

This little guy reminds me so much of Charlie that I thought it would be perfect for his Daddy's Birthday in a couple of weeks. It is a topper from the new Morehead CD that I spoke about yesterday. I have taken it into Craft Artist to resize it and used the dropper tool to colour match a handtyped sentiment. The papers are all from a Docrafts Papermania CD that came free with a magazine a while ago. I have used Kraft card for my base card and backing, I think it gives a softer look to the card. I have embellished with some ribbon and buttons from my stash.

I will be back tomorrow with my 2 Cute Ink DT card.

For this one I have used Ava from Bugaboo Stamps and coloured her with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. The backing papers are all from Dovecrafts and the gold embossed card is from my stash. I have used a Kraft card blank that I got during my last visit to my local craft warehouse. The natural ribbon is another buy from the warehouse. I have added a little tag that has been in my stash for years and a ribbon that I coloured with a Promarker to match the image. I then used some bunting and Candi to embellish the corners. Footy Friend

Good Morning all,

Well it's another stunning day here so we are off out to the Lakes this afternoon but first I have a little card to share with you:

I have used an image from my Forever Friends CD for this one. The backing papers are from my stash and I have backed everything on silver mirror card. I saw a great tip on C&C the other day for distressing the edges by running scissors along them so I have done that on all the papers. I have made a sentiment in Craft Artist and distressed that aswell. I have then added some Candi to embellish. Now the challenge over at Forever Friends this time is Are You Brave Enough? They want to see an old and a new card so I have raided my album and found this:

This was made a few years ago now for my Sister and it is a very simple card but again it's using the Forever Friends CD. I do love my CD's.

Challenges entered:

Allsorts - Distressing
Papertake Weekly - Make Your Own
Sketch Saturday - Sketch
Cute Card Thursday - Distressing
Paperplay - Sports
Fab n Funky - No stamped images

What is your Favourite Animal?

Well the challenge over at Charisma Cardz is favourite animal so how could I not use a dog image. I have had dogs all my life and all of them have been part of the family. I currently have two called Jayden and Java and they mean the world to me. Here they are:

For my card I have used the cute little puppy Kiki from Tiddly Inks, and the best bit she is free.

I have coloured Kiki with Promarkers. The backing papers are from my stash. I have used some of the lace I got from ebay and some ribbon that I had in the drawer. The gem swirl, pearls and buttons were all from my local craft warehouse and the banner has been in my drawer for years so I have no idea where it came from. It is my Neighbours 60th on Saturday so this card will be on it's way to her. She is having a BBQ so fingers crossed the weather stays nice.

Crafty Catz - Monochromatic

You're Ace

Hi Everyone

Sorry I have been a bit absent the last few days. My Cousin and her family came up over the weekend and we had a lovely time at Stanwick Lakes. Anyone that lives anywhere near Northamptonshire will probably have heard of it. I did however get sunburnt so I am still a bit sore and having three kids in the house was sooo tiring so I have taken a few days to recover. I do have a couple of cards to share with you today though so here is the first:

I have used some little playing cards and a card backing paper from Kanban and then handtyped the You're Ace sentiment. I backed everything on gold mirror card. Another CAS but I am liking this one even more than the last.

I am entering this card into the following challenge:

C.R.A.F.T - Use a playing card

Well it has come to the end of the Christmas in July week over at Catch The Bug. I have really enjoyed joining in with the challenges everyday and I now have a nice batch of Christmas cards all made up ready. Well the last challenge is to add a bow so here is my creation:

I have used the cute little fairy Ava from Bugaboo Stamps and coloured her with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. She is just adorable to colour. All the papers are from Dovecraft and everything is backed on gold mirror card from my stash. I have been playing around with layouts while scrapbooking lately and this is one I came up with. I thought it was a little different and worked well with the image. I have added a handtyped sentiment and then embellished with some large and small pearls, a little bit of ribbon and of course the all important bow.

On yer bike

Good Morning all,

I finally made it to the cinema last night and although the film was pretty rubbish (The five year engagement) it was great to get out and have a bit of me time. I did a little crafting before I went last night and have just finished another little card so I have two to share with you this morning so here is the first:

I have used a fab image from Sliekje and coloured her with my Promarkers and Flexmarkers. As the theme over at Cupcake this week is Le Tour De France I have given her the famous yellow shirt. The backing paper is from Papermania and as it has orange in it I have used orange and brown to finish off my colouring. I have followed the sketch over at Sunday Sketch and Stamp and for the circle I used a paper doilie. I think it helps to break up the colour a little. The lace is a newbie to my stash I got a big box of all different ones off ebay and they were so cheap. I want to get more but I really don't need it as I have enough to open a shop already. I have added a little bit of ribbon from my stash and my old favourite, yep you guessed it Candi. The small flowers are Primas and the big flower started off cream but I added some Promarker to make it fit the card. I got a big bunch of them from my local craft warehouse. I think cream is the way forward as I can make them any colour I need. I have added some little pearls and finished with a handtyped sentiment.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Cupcake Craft - Le Tour De France
Papertake Weekly - All things girlie
Crafty Catz - Olympics - cycling
Sunday Sketch - Sketch
